    Question

some times only when my zc h/b is hot
it will not start. this doesnt happen
alot just enough to be a pain. sometimes
it won't happen for a month.
i had the prob. with the car before i did the swap though. i am for sure it isn't
the fuel press. i can check that with the gauge. but what i do is cycle the key a couple of times until i here the computer click and then it will start. it is like a no fire condition. i had someone mention a purge cylinoid for the evap? but that doesn't sound right. what do you think?
    thanks.

I have a similar problem with my Si. It seems not to want to start up when it is warm or hot outside. If i turn the key and give it a min and than try to turn it over than it starts right up. I was once told that it was the main relay....?

The main relay can cause a no start condition. One half of it powers the fuel pump. The other half powers the fuel injectors. The solder joints on the circuit board can develope hairline cracks that break the circuit when expanded by heat.

You can try to resolder the joints and see if that solves the problem, or a new one is $35-40.

Another cause of a hot no start could be the TW sensor. If it is flaky (usually opens), it could be telling the ECU the wrong engine temp. In that case, too much fuel would be delivered to the cylinders causing a flooded condition. I doubt this is the problem in your case though.

    Talking

main relay? where is the main relay?
main relay for what? i know the are lots
of relay's but main? like the main power dist. block?

i need to do a little research...is that what honda calls it main relay?

i do not have a flooded condition for sure. it just doesn't want to start. not firing the injectors makes sense...hmmm

    thanks again.

    seya mitchd.

The main relay, roughly 2x3x1.5 inches, is located above the hood release bracket and behind the dash. There is a smaller relay mounted on the bracket too. That's not the one you want. Look above it towards the back of the coin tray. It should have about 7 wires on it. It's a bitch to get at, but can be removed.
